The Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers announced a trade this morning, sending pitcher Zach Miner to the Tigers in exchange for cash considerations.
Miner, who was drafted in 2000 draft in the 4th round by the Atlanta Braves, broke into the Majors in 2006 with the Detroit Tigers and has a MLB record of 25-20 with a 4.24 ERA and a 1.457 WHIP in four season.
Miner underwent Tommy John surgery in 2010, missing the entire season. In the off-season, Miner signed with the Royals and did not pitch in the majors in 2011 Zach had a 5.26 ERA between Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in 2011.
