Will Smith to make Major League Debut for Royals in New York

Tonight in New York Kansas City Royals’ 6 foot 5 inch lefty Will Smith is slated to make his Major League Baseball debut, starting for the Royals in New York against the Yankees.

In 2012, the 22-year old Will Smith, is 1-3 with a 4.01 ERA with the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers

Smith was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 7th round of the 2008 MLB June Amateur Draft and found his way to the Kansas City Royals as the center-piece of the the 2010 trade that sent utility infielder to the Angels. The Royals also acquired RHP Sean O’sullivan.

Smith’s pitch repertoire includes: both two and four-seam fastballs as well as a curve, slider and change-up.
