I was born and raised in Kansas City and I've been a die-hard Royals fan ever since I watched the '85 World Series. I was fascinated by this Brett guy who left it all on the field every night. Plus they had that slick fielding second baseman named White. They sparked my love of baseball and of the Royals. Now I'm in my 30s and ready for a renaissance.

I know it is the Evil Empire and we aren’t supposed to like any of them, but I do have one I’ve always liked. Mariano Rivera. The BEST relief pitcher in MLB history. You can argue with me in the comments, but I’m pretty sure I can trump it. Mariano, as he has always done, Keep Reading

Last night the Royals kicked off their series with the Oakland A’s and unless you’re a night owl, you probably didn’t stay up to watch it. The Royals lost 1-0 as they wasted a solid first effort by Luis Mendoza, who seems to be trying on the Bruce Chen magic when it comes to pitching. Keep Reading
